A huge congratulations to our U10s who were the winners of the Arsenal Respect Tournament! Great work!
Our Under 10’s took part in the Arsenal Fc Respect tournament over the weekend and showed great character to take the title for the first time. Eight teams were invited to this prestigious tournament and our team let everyone know who we are. We played three group games where we managed to let in zero goals, with great defending. We progressed through to the semi-finals and completed a 4-0 win with an audacious bicycle kick from one of our players to complete a brilliant hat trick! The Final was a completely different ball game as Arsenal’s development team shut us down early and tried to stop us creating opportunities. We overcame their determination and scored. Arsenal pressed again and with some great goalkeeping we held them out. With our pressure mounting they broke away and against the play scored with a great finish at the near post (first goal we’d conceded) and the game moved into extra time. We continued to play and with a magnificent turn and a great shot we sent the watching crowd into disarray as we went 2-1 up! We held out and were crowned champions a few minutes later. This was a great achievement for Primrose Hill. Congratulations go to Coach Samuel and all of the team!
